About Mindful Movements

Wow, I first have to thank you for checking out my page, it truly means a lot! Welcome to the rest of your life. I started Mindful Movements with only two rules in mind. Rule #1 ensure my clients are leading a healthy lifestyle while still having fun. Rule #2 do NOT EVER take yourself too seriously, the end. 


About me

I have always been active growing up. I was a cheerleader from ages 8-18, I played basketball, I enjoyed being outside, I was a very active child. After high school, I suffered greatly from body dysmorphia (didn't we all as women?!) and I started to shift my eating habits. My only goal in mind was to be skinny and the only way I knew how to make that happen was to limit my eating. I would go all day long without eating and when it was my "dinner time" I would choose to devour a..... granola bar..... I know.... 


I started working at my local YMCA and picked up many great habits, but I mostly fell in love with taking group fitness classes. I loved the energy, the community, and the feeling after. I had anxiety, so I knew I would never be able to step in front of a class full of 20-30 people to teach, it was NEVER the plan. Fast forward- I started teaching! I still had anxiety, but that somehow went away when I started feeling the energy of the room. I started teaching bootcamp and PiYo and that someday led to teaching Pound and earning my personal training certificate from NASM. I have years of battling my own inner demons as well as helping my community shine through their most fabulous light. I wish there was someone like me around when I was going through my battles but now, I feel relieved that I can help almost every beautiful soul that enters my life and joins my business. I am your friend, your shoulder to cry on, your hand to help you back up, and most of all your biggest fan.
